Welcome guys!

We will be using this wiki to discuss some aspects on co-moderation. Feel free to write your ideas, and comment on others'

Some ideas to get started with what makes for a good online facilitator /moderator:

  • greet and welcome participants
  • be sensitive/tactful and polite (politically & socially correct!!!) when answering questions/giving help
  • answer in a timely/prompt fashion
  • be generous and encouraging
  • praise the little or big steps forward! they boost egos
  • assume all participants have good intentions

AddYourOwnIdeas! Is this where we're supposed to add ideas, or can I suggest we have a separate discussion/comments section...Leanne - Now the page for new ideas has been created, click on the link ;-) (daf)

WeeklyDistribution for co-moderation

First meeting at Alado:

* agenda

* audio file

* assignment: each of the weekly co-moderators will look over the readings and decide which ones will remain, those to be added and maybe those applied to a "beginner" level; decisions can be posted on our mailing list and/or here. readings page

* next meeting: the second chat is on Nov. 25 (Fri), 17:30 GMT, venue to be decided

* Teresa's comments: Hi, girls!

We had a wonderful chat yesterday and Daf and I know that BaW-06 is in great hands. :-)

We exchanged some good ideas and arrived at some common strategies, and then we "negotiated" (great word, Maria Teresa!) the day and time for the next chat quite quickly. For me, the most important idea that came out is "flexibility" in the way that each of you deals with the weekly content, which we shouldn't deviate from since it is part of the propsal Daf and I sent that was approved by the EVO coordinating team

Second meeting at Tapped In:

Conclusions:

*1. Weekly readings will be divided into: suggested (S) and optional-additional ( O)readings.

*2. To decide on which is which. we will copy the titles to the wiki, and each of us will vote using S or O next to each reading.

*3. Deadline to vote and to add new articles: December 9 -

*4. we decided to add a reading about webcasts in week 2 since we have a webcast session with Jeff and Dave

*5. New readings will be added in a new page, stating if it is a suggestes (S) or optional-additional (O)reading.

*6. Next meeting: Dec 9, time (the same?) and venue to be decided

Third meeting at YM and Alado Dec,9 at 17.30GMT

Conclusions:

*1. Wrong day.

*2. Wrong time.

*3. Suggested date for our next meeting: Thursday Dec 15, time 17.30GMT.

*4. Suggested venue: We meet at YM and continue to Alado.

*5. Here is where you are able to comment on the suggested date!

*6. This is a great tool, isn't it ;-)

Fourth meeting at YM Dec.16 at 17.30 GMT

2. Interesting opinions based on this week's messages
